Management application for forestry and industrial sawmills

Since 1997, I have been developing and improving a series of applications for the timber industry with various clients in Africa.

This has allowed me to gain insight into the different sectors of industrial companies and thus be able to offer a functional and comprehensive solution for the sector.

The application is divided into several modules:

Forest Management

  - Establishment of GPS points for plots and areas

  - Felling, cutting, and transport

  - Statistics

Management of sawmills, carpentry, parquetry, and recovery for various products

  - Slats, rolled veneer, flat veneer, tongue and groove, finger-joint, panels...

Management of contracts, warehouses, shipping, and invoicing

Management of land and sea transportation

  - Export documents

Traceability and quality monitoring

 

The application is created in MS-Access for the interfaces and databases with MySQL or MariaDB.

I recommend running on a Linux server (for installing the databases) and Windows clients (MS-Access).

 

PS: I am currently rewriting a new version with Python (Django) for better usability and interconnection of remote production units as well as management offices. It will be possible to install in the Cloud without the need for any servers at the production sites.
