Since 1997 I have been developing and improving management software for the timber industry, with clients across Central Africa. The system has been in continuous operation since 2006 in the Republic of Congo and since 2013 in Cameroon, and both concessions are OLB certified (Timber Legality and Origin, Bureau Veritas).

The field interface runs on MS-Access with MySQL/MariaDB databases on a Linux server, a design built for forestry sites without permanent connectivity. I am currently migrating the system, module by module, to a Django-based web architecture, allowing remote production units and management offices to be interconnected without relying on a local server at each site.
